Simply stated, it's a 1937 Cadillac Fleetwood. But, in truth, it's not THAT simple. Cadillacs of this vintage are not easy to correctly identify, owing to the sheer number of "Series" and models available. You have the "Series 60" on 124" wheel base, "Series 65" on 131" wheel base, "Series 70" on 131" wheel base, "Series 75" and "Series 85" on 138" wheelbase, and "Series 90" on 154" wheel base. In addition, there were three different power plants: V8, V12 and V16. In this case, we may immediately eliminate cars in Series 60, 65 and 90 because they had different styling cues along the hood sides. So that leaves "only" Series 70 (V8), 75 (V8) and 85 (V12). In these three Series, the following body styles ALL look alike on the outside: 7019 touring sedan, 7519 5-pass. sedan, 7523 touring sedan, 7523S special touring sedan, 7523SL business touring sedan, 7533 7-pass. Imperial, 7533S special touring sedan, 7533SL business touring sedan, 8519 5-pass. sedan, 8523 touring sedan and 8533 7-pass. Imperial. So, take your pick ! However, owing to the limited identification criteria imposed for all IMCDB cars [make and model], this one needs to be described (incompletely) as a 1937 Cadillac Fleetwood.
