Yep, This is a 1995-1999 GMC Suburban K2500. This is a base model, having single, sealed-beam headlights on a gray grille. Base models also have the white/Gray steel 4-slot rims, and black upholstery. This Truck is built off the GMT 400 Platform. |

I see no reason for that. And even if the engine sound allowed to identify it, most of the time they record the sound of the engine with another car, so it is not a proof at all. -- Last edit: 2007-10-16 23:12:50 |

Dude,I know it's a 1996,thats because it sounds just like my dad's 1999 suburban,im not joking... -- Last edit: 2007-10-18 04:44:28 |

If it sounds like your dad's 1999, then why aren't you saying that this one is a 1999? Why 1996 in particular? |

As Antoine has said to you in movies, except some cases, the car engines are recorded from other cars or even from a sounds database, you cant put that as a reason because it is useless, i have heard the sound from Bullit's Mustang a thousand times in other chases, so what is it then? that a van like this one /vehicle_54588-Dodge-B-series-1979.html has the same engine as Bullits Mustang ? no, so dont pay attention to the engine soyunds you hear in a movie, on the other hand we have ronin for example, in thsi case they did recorded the sound from the same model of cars used in the chase, but this was only an exception. |

Yes, that puzzles me too. Didn't the 1995 sound like the 1996-1999? -- Last edit: 2007-10-18 15:52:03 |

No,it has the vortec 5700 V8 engine,and it has the 1995 dash,in that case,I know it's a 1996,plus the 1995's didn't have the vortec engine. |

What? What? Do you realize that what you just wrote makes no sense whatsoever? |

How does it make no sense whatsoever? ![]() |

You just said that since it has the 1995 dash, that in that case it's a 1996. now, someone tell me that that statement doesn't make sense. |

Mostly correct. You could get gray, red or blue cloth or vinyl upholstery on the SL model. In fact, there wasn't an option for black upholstery on the [GMT400] or [GMT800]. |
