This movie features a beautiful 1978 C123 280 CE, used quite a lot by the main character, lawyer Martin Vail (Richard Gere). It was a liht grey colored one, with black leather seats (visible from outside, since there weren't many interior shots), and no alloy wheels. Badges seen several times, with the 280-ish chrome under the rear lights. It was in nearly perfect conditions. No aggressive or particular driving, but lots of good exterior shots. |

Yes, the turbodiesel-version came in 1981, but the car above has the early headrests. Only made for USA. Only there was ever the W123-Coupé available with a Diesel-engine. |
