@Alex: Do you know anything about when the Ranger was introduced in mainland Europe? In the UK we've found out they didn't come out until 1999: /vehicle_2090482-Ford-Ranger-P246-1999.html and I'm wondering if this was actually the case in all of Europe. |

And it says manufactured from 1998 but that one was made in February 1999 and the Ranger hit the market in June. Perhaps as a non-Ford product they went by the start of production for the initial badging? -- Last edit: 2026-04-25 13:49:26 |

I did some research and what I've found out so far is as follows: - The first EU market to receive it seems to have been Spain in Jan 99, with most other continental EU markets receiving it in June 99 like UK - I could verify this for Austria, Germany and Norway as well. - France, Iceland and Netherlands followed in Jan-Feb 2000, Italy and Sweden in May 2001. Sweden had already received the US model in 1992-93. - In Poland, where the US model had also been available, it debuted with the second generation T6 in Oct 06. -- Last edit: 2026-04-26 23:30:10 |
