1982 CM-21 origin Taiwan![]() for producer "The CM-21 IFV was designed and manufactured by the Republic of China Armoured Vehicle Development Center" https://tank-afv.com/coldwar/Republic-of-China/cm-21.php -- Last edit: 2025-04-12 11:15:25 |

Didn't we recently had a case like that, with the vehicle listed under an acronym standing for a country's factory? (maybe it was not Taiwan) According to Wikipedia, "The center was formed in 1980 in a partnership with General Dynamics in the development of the CM-11 Brave Tiger tank.", but I guess it would not be right to list this tank as General Dynamics. |

/vehicle_1915075-ORDC-Taiwan-Infantry-Fighting-Vehicle-CM-32-2007.html ROC Armored Vehicle Development Center is a branch under ORDC Taiwan since 1992, so I think the brand name can merged to ORDC Taiwan -- Last edit: 2025-04-16 03:21:48 |

Indeed. About that other vehicle, should the model name be shortened as TIFV? (as this one is IFV) For this one, if it is only since the 90s, it is maybe not really correct for older vehicles then. We could shorten it to "ROC AVDC" in the same way, maybe. If we change this one, that other should also be updated: /vehicle_1983764.html -- Last edit: 2025-04-15 07:21:51 |

IFV is the body type, it seems like we didn't give CM-21 any name or nickname. In this case, CM-21 is more like APC (Armoured personnel carrier) instead of IFV because it doesn't have tank gun |
