Not sure why this was entered as "122 S Station Wagon" instead of 121 Estate

NAP 577F / NAP577F
Vehicle make VOLVO
Date of first registration November 1967
Year of manufacture 1967
Cylinder capacity 1780 cc
Fuel type PETROL
Vehicle colour BLUE

LHD import so the correct name will probably be hard to find.

it's RHD, and all info reports mileage in miles not kms. My guess is a UK spec, perhaps originally sold in Channel Isles, Ireland, Isle of Man and then re-regd on 2009 arrival in UK. Or maybe always a UK car but initially had a cherished number, so given a new "old" number when first owner sold it.

Sorry, my mistake, I thought I looked at this picture a million times thinking; "Is the wipers the wrong direction?" and "there seems to be a kid on the right hand side?"...

Chassis number:
2 = Wagon (P220)
2 = 4- or 5-door (P120 or P220)
3 = B18B 1,8 litre with dual carbs (122 S or 123 GT)
3 = Special (the normal model)
4 = M40 4-speed gearbox with floor shiftet (121 or 122 S)
2 = RHD
P = 1968

It has the new for 1968 steering wheel. I thought the wagon wasn't available as 122 S in the UK though?

Is that a new IKEA furniture line??

Lateef wrote UK did not get the 122 S as an Estate.

It has an 122 S chassis number and engine so it definitely is an 122 S, not an 121.

... which presumably means an import from somewhere RHD which used 122 S name?? Maybe add Malta, Cyprus ZA, AUS, NZ to the candidates list if they used the name. Just in practical terms, what's the difference between 121 vs 122 S estates??

There are a few minor differences but the main thing is dual carbs for the 122 S and a single one for the 121.

Edit: This car has a MPH speedo, did all these countries use imperial at the time?
