Same truck (model) used by a different character in a London scene (episode 11) Another one, also from episode 7 ![]() |

Fairly unlikely to be a GAZ AA in the London scenes. |

Second thumb in the London scene is a different truck, looks more like an UralZis 5. |

Equally unlikely to have been seen in U.K. Xenophobia reigned supreme in this country in the 1930s, foreign cars were not quite rare, but shall we say infrequently encountered. The first product from the new Ford factory at Dagenham was the Ford AA, so why buy anything else? (Except possibly a Bedford.) |

Because CG modellers can't give a crap about historical accuracy and went for the easier route... This is the same franchise where the staffs tried to pass off a Soviet sedan as something a Japanese naval officer would've been chauffered in since they couldn't be bothered to make a separate CG model of a more appropriate Ford or Chevrolet... /vehicle_1483222-GAZ-M-1.html They likely reused the same CGI truck for both the Soviet and English scenes, despite it being a GAZ, since most casual viewers aren't going to be nitpicky about what they see on screen unless it's so anachronistic (like a modern day Scania being used instead). -- Last edit: 2022-10-01 01:49:00 |
