Yes, but these aren't painted, car is grey and plate style is the one used before 1999 |

Early 1999 plates did use this style. |

Yes, of course, indeed I wrote 1997-99 anyway first trims with painted bumpers were introduced here in March 1999, making them very very rare with the kind of plate seen here, since new euro plates were introduced, depending on the province, between January (like my province) and March 1999, indeed I can't remember seeing a Ka with painted bumpers with this style of plate without blue bands (like, for example, the Opel Zafira and the Toyota Yaris). Then, this plate seems to start with AP, so it's 1997/98.EDIT: First trim with painted bumpers should even be the Collection, introduced in September 1999, if I'm not missing any of the briefly run 1998/99 special editions. The Spring/Summer Collection, introduced in March 1999, had black bumpers. The Winter Collection also had black ones, as the University, the Energy and the Master. I have just a doubt about the 1998 Collection..I'm finding them mostly with black bumpers but I found one listed on a sale site as 1998 but without the plate visible, so it can be also newer (or with replacement bumpers). EDIT/2: the dates I said for blue band plates don't apply to square plates starting with ZA which, being rarely used, lasted a bit longer. -- Last edit: 2020-10-15 18:24:25 |
