BUT before regular sale started, they also had to had few cars for tests, homologation etc. - Motozbyt, Pekao (or something similar) could rent such car for filming. 130rapid ◊ 2020-09-15 22:08	I think they could apply the horizontal 'Wartburg' badge when Tourist came to mass production. Interesting detail: autumn 1967 built Tourist (preseries?) had pretty unique badge, comparing to winter-to-spring 1968 car (they tested it April-May).
Weasel1984 ◊ 2020-10-08 15:40	Curiosity - among private imports were also Wartburgs, in 1966 and 1967 - ca 60 cars. This way few 353 "1000" for sure found its way to Poland before official sale begun in may 1967.
