December 1951 Mk VI Standard Steel Saloon, Chassis # B4NZ. Originally supplied to Major Mervyn Sydney Bobus Vernon, 2006 on, in USA. Special Vulcan’s Deep Brunswick Green, Ref # 1017. Apparently re-finished at some time. Looking at the series’ date, it may have been in the colonies for longer than my book indicates. Anachronistic wing mirrors, I had those on my Anglebox. It does not seem to have been in Bentley Drivers Club records. -- Last edit: 2020-08-03 22:42:18 |

We own Bentley B4NZ. 1951 It was delivered to Major M. S. B. Vernon M. V. O. In 1979 Mr. Lobbs from Oklahoma, US was the owner. In March 1979 John Hoke of Oklahoma became the owner. In 1986 B4NZ was purchased by Leak Auction CO. of Tulsa Ok. Then was purchased by Scott Bosés of Hollywood Picture Vehicles where it was used in movies. With Mr. Bosés retirement it was purchased by Mr. Richard Grise in Pasadena, Ca. We purchased the car in 1996. B4NZ has been returned to Green (close to the original color), all wood restored and all chrome replated. The interior leather has been restored close to the original color. The car has been in restoration for 12 years in three shops who have only made mistakes and lost parts. It is now ar our home and being restored by a competent Mechanic. We appreciate any further information we could have provided. |
