From a quick search I can find no evidence of the Thinwall Special ever running with side pods like that. The one car that did was Ferrari 375 Indianapolis #1 - which was rebuilt as #0388 - and attempted to qualify for Indy in 1954. I can find no reference of it running as #91 but its history is vague. Nzcarnerd is right, it is the 375 MI (Monoposto Indianapolis) 0388. Shel raced it at Mount Washington, Giant's Despair and Breakneck 1956. |
