Year and motor name by plate? Then it was modified as a 2001 facelift with lower motor/trim. |

Ok by VIN then. And as I said above it was modified to look like 2001 facelift and the G500 grille (SA code C77) was deleted. I'm just wondering that vindecoderz.com says it's a 2001 MY built in 1998... |

They read the 10th digit as 1, which should be the year for standard VINs, but Mercedes, Toyota and French cars don't use standard VINs. |
