[Kind of OT] Was at the Kraftwerk concert last night and couldn't help noticing that during the video for Autobahn, they added a 2101 (or possibly just a lowly Fiat 124) to the traffic in just two shots. I wonder if this was to represent the Ukrainian refugees? Of course, a Zaporozhets would have been more topical and actually Ukrainian, but you don't see them used as an escape vehicle during the war as too underpowered and cramped, and it was never sold in the BRD whereas the Lada was a familiar sight in the 70s so they went with that. -- Last edit: 2025-11-27 22:20:25 |
