Speedfreight trials on London Midland region services started early 1962 and lasted for about a year before going fully operational. Ten ton containers were standard therefore 12 or more likely 13 ton TK articulated tractor units were needed both also introduced in 1962 (the 1961 6 and 10 ton units would not be large enough because of the weight of the containers themselves). Mirrors are also from 1962. |
