Quiz question for the panel in a section on 1974 (after they had to name 3 hits by the Wombles) - name the car. Kirsty Wark immediately said Jensen Interceptor. Eventually a bloke in the audience put them right. Cue some predictable jokes about NSU clinics and mis-hearing Wankel. (Not sure if this was shown in the normal 30 minute edition, but was included in the 45 minute extended version Have I Got a Bit More News for You broadcast on BBC1 15 May 2017). Seems to be July 72+ (tints, headrests, fogs) before Oct 75 rubber-faced bumpers. NSU 570 plate. -- Last edit: 2020-03-28 21:21:14 |

PS @ingo - the Wombles reference is NOT a musical recommendation for your next listening direction. Just don't go there - for Mrs Ingo's sake as well as your own. |

Audi has stopped selling NSU t-shirts on a site, because of the abbreviation's connection to the National Socialistic Underground, a far right group who attacked several immigrant (mainly Turkish) workers between 2000 and 2007. Also there was protest after, for the same reason, NSU vehicles were vandalized. -- Last edit: 2017-05-16 15:42:50 |
