Either a 1969 or 1970, no way of telling. The car was in constant motion during the scene, making it hard to get any decent screen-caps! This vehicle was used in this scene only, to double for the HG Monaro used as the regular series vehicle - it's clearly a GTS (note the GTS guard badges, bonnet scoops, and fluted guards), and a V8 as opposed to the six-cylinder HG. Registration label is from NSW; Victorian number plate from the HG were affixed to maintain continuity. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2017-02-23 22:36:31 |

Book reference that May 69 [HT] had horizontal trim across rear lights so upper and lower halves, July 70 [HG] had the split removed so one-piece lights. No idea if this works in practice??? |

HT ran from 1969 into 1970. Australia didn't have "model years" as such... This is definitely a HT (the grille, badging, and tail-lights are unmistakable), I just can't tell if it's a 1969 HT or a 1970 HT! -- Last edit: 2017-02-24 00:56:51 |
