First it's a Civic than it's a Opel Kadett [E], back to Civic. The key is first for the Civic but later from a Volvo 240 or 740.

Licensplate is from a Civic '87 that was scraped in 2006.

If Volvo keys would start a Honda Civic, would that work the other way? *searches for cheap used Hondas*

Those were one of my favorite year Civics. Ours that looked like that were the Si models.

"Si" was a sportier model, with a small bump on the hood, if I am right.

Si were in Japan only version with DOHC engine "ZC", only the CRX get this engine in Europe (called 1.6i16). And these Civic and CRX had a small bump on the hood.

The 1.5i GT was SOHC, 100 hp with PGMFi

It looks like it's missing its engine too.

Hi,

You're kinda both right. The Civic SI is exactly the same as the european version which is the GT. Just with a different name. The bumps on the hood were only present on the Mk1 CRX's though you can interchange alot of the parts with a civic.

They initially bought in the 1.6 16v 'DOHC' engine on the european CRX's during 1987, however the engine that you refer to above is the 1.6 16V DOHC ZC and is from Japan or USA only. They have an extra 20bhp and go like stink. You'll mainly only find these engines in CRX's tho it has been known for Civic owners to put them into their light weight shells.

You can also find the same block in import 1986-89 integras.

I should know, i own a civic ;o)

Better to use just links or miniature images rather than big images ;)

About the bump in the hood, that sounds strange to me that only CRX had it, since the scale model of the Si version made by SAPI has that bump, I wonder why they would have made it different from the non-Si version if it was not like that in factory-version :??:
