Very Scottish series which became semi-legendary, but probably more because it was unobtainable than for any real lasting merit. It tries to be a sit-com/gangster thriller/Country & Western tribute/romantic drama mash-up but doesn't tick enough boxes for any of them as the plot collapses under its own weight into random dribbles. But it has some very funny lines, lots of good Glasgow and Aberdeen locations and a great cast of Scottish actors on the verge of becoming famous. And it has Eddi Reader singing lots of stuff, but she avoids her infamous screeching voice which is a big relief.

The first 25 minutes of ep6 are full of bikes - if any of our bike-ists can track down a copy online (or just get the DVD - it's cheap enough) they would be in imcdb-heaven to unpick them all.
