Finished. Adaption of "Hearts of Three" by Jack London. Filmed in India, Crimea, and Adygea. This movie has some interesting background. It was financed with Soviet money, and filming began in November 1991 in India. When their vacation ended and the actors returned from filming, the USSR was dead, and the film company unable to provide them with money for another flight to India, so each of the actors had to take a 1 million $ loan from their bank. Reshoots were done in Adygea, in the Galkina ravine, the Cherep grotto and the Lago-Naki plateau. This car makes a brief background appearance: ![]() /vehicle_691592.html /vehicle_1052275.html /vehicle_500345.html /vehicle_984035.html /vehicle.php?id=904696 Anachronistic truck only seen from behind: ![]() And what would an early 20th century adventure story in an exotic location be without a biplane? ![]() Slightly anachronistic USAF roundel though. -- Last edit: 2021-02-03 11:26:05 |

IMDb treats this as TV series. As far as I understand 1 million $ was the total sum of the loan (not taken by each actor). |

Yes, that makes more sense. It was originally a two-part movie consisting of 103+115 minutes; the version I watched was the 1997 TV version split into five parts. |
