Episodes 1 & 2 completed. If you wonder why the German public broadcasting channels produce so many movies and series in exotic locations, the answer is very simple: GEZ. Link to "en.wikipedia.org" The detective and main character in this series is played by Clemens Schick, who played Le Chiffre's henchman Kratt in the 2006 James Bond movie Casino Royale. |

Tax incentives for film production probably also play a part. |

Because they're publicly funded by a licence fee (Tax) like the BBC, they've got a bottomless pit of money and are accountable to virtually no-one so they burn through the cash like a lottery winner in a Ferrari showroom and still complain they're under-funded. |

I thought that robi was trying to say that the broadcasters have to give the viewers what they want, such as detectives in exotic locations. |
