Not a horror film despite the title, but a very gloomy and intense story of family secrets set mainly on the Westside of Shetland and the island of Papa Stour during winter (so long dark nights and it rains a lot), plus slight bits of footage in Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Unlikely to offer any marketing opportunities for Shetland Tourist Board, but well acted by a decent cast and better than reviews suggest. Plane for impdb - this is supposed to be the Shetland internal island connecting service (and all photos supposed to be the same plane): .... but logo in 4th thumb is Scottish Ambulance Service - current fleet at http://www.scottishambulance.com/WhatWeDo/aircraft.aspx . Partial sight of a bit more of registration I don't know if the normal inter-island planes doubled up as air ambulance when needed so carried the logo, or if film-makers borrowed the air ambulance to pretend it's the normal plane. |

I think it's a Britten-Norman Islander, not sure if the Ambulance Service used them but they were popular as planes used as Island hoppers. EDIT: Seems the Ambulance service did use them: http://www.flickr.com/photos/romari/7329030154/ -- Last edit: 2013-04-22 20:42:37 |
