God, I remember this! It was on when I was about 9 or 10 and I found it far too babyish. |
◊ 2010-07-13 18:27 |
one of my favourites back then.. I was something around 10 years |

◊ 2015-05-15 08:15 |
Seems to be something like a British version of Pelle Politibil... |
◊ 2015-06-25 17:01 |
This might be my next project, but I'll probably start in a few weeks... |

The background vehicles are mostly pretty far away and of low quality, so you won't see much of them. Rootes-crap (I think) in "Brum and the Kite": Wasn't sure if I should list the red car: Various background vehicles; antp can decide which can be listed: I risked it and added a 2CV and a Lada - hopefully they're OK. Metrocab that I couldn't get a good view of: -- Last edit: 2015-07-07 15:49:54 |

Can be validated now, I guess. |
◊ 2015-07-04 15:07 |
Too many too background, I guess. Clean that up. As you seem to have memory problems, not remembering what is too background (and you already temporarily lost your contrib rights for that) : cars in background just passing by and being blurry should not be added cars in background with only a small part of it visible should not be added |
◊ 2015-07-04 15:50 |
Better? Blurred is OK I think, just not TOO blurred. |
◊ 2015-07-04 16:36 |
Blurred is not OK if it is a random common passing car pics like that do not have much interest: /vehicle_826490-Austin-Allegro.html ( especially if the car is not highlighted like here ) /vehicle_826488.html ( ditto ) /vehicle_826489.html ( ditto ) /vehicle_826502-Morris-Marina.html /vehicle_826496-Renault-5.html /vehicle_826487.html /vehicle_826482.html /vehicle_826494-Mini.html I'm not sure I would list that, but I guess they are still acceptable however, not enough visible / too far / just random car, for such small pic /vehicle_826639-Lada-Riva.html /vehicle_826506-Volkswagen-Golf.html /vehicle_826455-Renault-Espace-J63-1991.html (and that's not even a Renault) /vehicle_826497-Triumph-Dolomite.html /vehicle_826466.html /vehicle_826511.html /vehicle_826501.html /vehicle_826507.html /vehicle_826509-Volkswagen-Caddy.html /vehicle_826462-Volkswagen-Bus.html /vehicle_826477-Vauxhall-Cavalier-1988.html missing highlight: /vehicle_826451.html /vehicle_826450.html /vehicle_826485.html ( if it is the car at the top, it looks like an Allegro or equivalent, which is not hatchback I think ) /vehicle_826498.html duplicate of /vehicle_826503-Citroen.html -- Last edit: 2015-07-04 16:37:11 |

Great! I didn't read your message correctly and ended up deleting the 5 and the Marina! Do you still have the pics? -- Last edit: 2015-07-04 16:49:19 |
◊ 2015-07-04 17:13 |
Not a big loss anyway, they weren't really worth listing |
◊ 2015-07-04 17:29 |
But do you still have the pics? |
◊ 2015-07-04 17:41 |
Will finish Episode 7 tomorrow. The unknown white car I added because it looked a test mule, the Maestro and its 500 equivalent are respectively unique and uncommon, and we only have a few British eighties Protons on the site. |
◊ 2015-07-04 17:52 |
The test mule is a bog standard Vauxhall Cavalier (maybe in SRi trim), the Proton is a Ford Orion and by no stretch of the imagination was a Maestro a rare car (or van) at this time in the UK. -- Last edit: 2015-07-04 17:55:39 |
◊ 2015-07-04 18:07 |
I could recover them, but as they're not really worth listing I do not see the point |
◊ 2015-07-04 18:55 |
The green scrapped Mini is a Mini City E, and looks like a brown Escort Camper next to it. White "Chevette" in middle of pile is a Mk1 Cavalier GL. Toledo pic has a Dolomite in background. The Allegro on top of the pile has a white Sceptre Mk3 missing its roof. Unknown coupe /vehicle_826482.html with G plate looks like aftermarket glassfibre bonnet (eg Lenham) for a Sprite, so interesting/unusual but not a complete car. "Wasn't sure if I should list the red car" looks Marina coupe or maybe the Hyundai which looked like a Marina coupe, but not clear enough to be worth it - no harm in asking though. "Rootes-crap (I think)" - 2 problems - firstly think Rootes-jewels instead (the youth of today should have a positive outlook), secondly it's a Talbot Samba so only slightly Rootes-ish. Good spot for the Reliant Scimitar. |
◊ 2015-07-04 19:13 |
No, no, the Rootes-crap is the blue-black car on the left in the picture! The Dolly was to have its own page, but antp insisted on eliminating it. |
◊ 2015-07-04 19:15 |
Neverless, we only have a few Maestro 500s on the site. Don't blame me for the mis-IDs; I didn't grow up in 90s Britain. -- Last edit: 2015-07-04 19:31:03 |

Nothing Rootesy - something J like Toyota Corolla |

Ever seen an Opel Vectra A? Same thing. -- Last edit: 2015-07-05 15:44:28 |
◊ 2015-07-05 15:49 |
Ford Escort MkI, I'd say. |
◊ 2015-07-06 18:32 |
Since my pictures from 1.07 aren't big enough to be stored as thumbnails, I'll just have to post all the cars and see which get accepted and which don't. I'm sorry guys, but there's no other way. I've also decided to delete all background vehicles where the height did not meet the standard. -- Last edit: 2015-07-06 18:44:33 |
◊ 2015-07-06 18:44 |
What are you talking about? Are you asking about the background cars you listed as thumbnails above? I don't think any are worthy of being listed as entries here. |
◊ 2015-07-06 18:47 |
No, the ones from S1E07, but only two survived, and they were the two most visible ones anyways. |
◊ 2015-07-07 15:50 |
Season 1 complete. |
◊ 2015-07-07 22:34 |
Gamer, if you continue to waste our time by posting things that are obviously not worth listing you'll lose again your contribution rights, but not for just a few days this time. Seriously, things like /vehicle_827531.html are completely useless. If most of the pics you add are rejected, just stop adding so many, add only those that are visible enough like those that are accepted systematically. |
◊ 2015-07-07 22:38 |
Mmhh, IMO real rare sights should be treatened in a different way than the profane junk, which already clutters up IMCDb. This blurry Fiesta is a XR2, so already a kind of rarity. |
◊ 2015-07-07 23:05 |
Just bad luck that one time it is a less common car, compared to the huge amount deleted each time. But even for a XR2 I don't really see the point of listing such blurry small pic of a car that is on screen for one tenth of second. |
◊ 2015-07-08 07:10 |
You're in luck - I can't find a good source for the Season 2 opener... For now, I'm out of the uploading business for a while... -- Last edit: 2015-07-08 15:35:38 |

I spotted a 1959 Cadillac in episode 2.05. |

IMBD's Order is muddled, we should go by the Wiki listing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brum_(TV_series)#Series_2_(1994), please fix asap -- Last edit: 2023-04-08 21:42:52 |

Adding S2 |
◊ 2024-04-22 21:41 |
Added S3 and 4. Gets more pedestrian , literally as most action S4 takes place in a pedestrian town square. With few vehicles. -- Last edit: 2024-04-23 15:45:40 |
