Hi JCB. When the contribution does not get its own IMDB reference, it would be useful contributor leave a comment with links to the movie (TV Series, documentary...) DVD-set, TV channel, etc... -- Last edit: 2011-08-04 11:23:56 |

Fascinating film this , 1960 and a load of contemporary but ancient looking ( timber framed cabs, exposed radiators etc) , not very powerfull British trucks take their trailers to Tilbury ferry port , the trailers are then picked up in Antwerp by modern , powerfull , steel cabbed Continental trucks and took to their destination . You can play spot the trailer with two tractor units- here and there . Even then we were well behind, and the result - no volume British truck makes at all today. -- Last edit: 2011-08-05 17:05:50 |

As listed on the BTF website and the other BTF movies on IMDb the movie title is "Ferry Load" rather than "British Transport Films - Ferry Load" |

correct JCB the BTF film shows the ferry traffic from Tilbury to Antwerp (Bardic Ferry RO-RO)were famous Belgian haulers like Camerman, Van Gaever and Belgo -Anglaise Ferry boats (the lorry to Milan) took over ther UK trailers. Those were the days! |
