 I was half-expecting a US-spec Toyopet Crown to show up at least, but no such luck unfortunately :D probably too early for it, anyway, this being a film shot in late 1957 - Toyopet Crown wasn't sold until July 58.

 Yes, they could have tried to find a Japanese car :mad: There is a 1955 American movie "Three Stripes in the sun" shot entirely in Osaka with many interesting Japanese cars, unfortunately I could not find it in HD ...

That makes sense - it smells strongly of Ford product placement, and the Brit Fords fit mid-57 if brand new.
