Just watched this again for the first time in years. The main race is largely sped up but the brief scene at the beginning of the film isn't. I found it terrifying how fast they were cornering in this VAL (main photo), with a full load, a guy hanging out the door, two people hanging out the roof. These were a stable and heavy bus but I bet this was close to the limits of traction and this could have gone very wrong, very quickly. Anyone know who was driving in this scene - looks like Ringo for most of it? - and what the background was to them hammering it around the RAF base? -- Last edit: 2012-10-08 19:10:30  |
