Commer BF 1¼ Ton van was introduced September 1953, later Commer BF 1½ Ton van in June 1957.

Suffix plate so 63+ and probably 64+. May even be F - 67-68 if they made them for long enough. Are orange indicators dateable - maybe late 60s??

I think 1963 is too late, but connot confirm definitely.

All other listings on imcdb end in 1961 and Commer Walk-Thru vans introduced in October 1961, probably replacing the BF.

Seems a real knowledge gap online for when BF stopped. However some scratty references from googling
- "Commer and Karrier 15 cwt to 30 cwt models, normal and forward control, approximately 1955 to 1966 (The forward control chassis are often referred to as the BF/BFD models ...." from a set of brake shoes on ebay
- "I am looking to buy front and rear Bumper Bars for Commer Karrier BF 1962 - 1964 Model" - forum query

Maybe continued for a time as Karrier BF after early 60s (although after Walk-Thru introduction, it would have been an obsolete carry-over)?? Have rerun the sequence onscreen - definitely a suffix plate, and looks like B, E, or F as last character.

Finding an actual last production date for the BF could be a problem then, dsl.

I'm happy if it appears the BF continued alongside the Walk-Thru until about 1964 or 1966. There could have been some major customers or municipal contracts that prevented Commer from stopping production earlier, or Rootes thought the Walk-Thru was a bit too advanced to risk customers going elsewhere.
