Best SUV ever, it's a shame that it was badly damaged through the movie, oh whell, at least wasn't destroyed. -- Last edit: 2011-11-21 16:55:27 |

My uncle have one of these, 1999 GMC Yukon. His is light brown and his has the 2 dual Flowmasters exhaust pipes in the rear. Good SUV. -- Last edit: 2025-07-16 05:11:19 |

Well like truck man said, it least it wasn't trashed or anything like that. And it shows that these models tough and can take beating and keep going ![]() -- Last edit: 2011-03-04 15:50:05 |

What is the "1500" for? I know what is for like the Dodge Ram pickes like the higher the number the powerful the truck is along with the different trimlines and stuff like that but for SUVS I don't know. Also, does "SLT" means? -- Last edit: 2011-03-04 15:53:08 |

Most were RWD. 4x4 was optional. |

These wheels were available in 1995 for the Yukon. Why 1996? [GMT430]. |

They were all 1500 models. Only the Suburban were 1/2 or 3/4 tons. Edit: 1500 is redundant. Please do not add. Every single Yukon was 1500.....from 1992-1999. -- Last edit: 2021-02-20 21:20:36 |

It's a 4x4 by the ride height and wheels. It's rear-wheel-drive by default, like most four-wheel-drive vehicles. The switches are 2-hi (powers the rear wheels only), 4-hi and 4-lo obviously power front and back. Here's what the 4-wheel drive selector looked like in most [GMT400]-based SUVs. ![]() Some also had an 'AUTO 4x4' switch under 2-hi. This mode would automatically switch between 2-hi and 4-hi when the system detected a loss of traction. |

Since it's a 1995, that means it has the Small Block Chevy V8 5.7 Liter 350 Cubic Inch Throttle Body Injection engine |
