This car looks so boring ![]() The 80s and 90s weren't really milestones in automotive design... Just look what they did with the Mustang and Thunderbird in that time... |

That car wasn't supposed to be beautiful.) |

This was just meant to be a period econobox but isn't the chrome window trim nice? I miss that on today's cars. (Always felt it gave a car a rich touch.) |

Even though it may look like a boring, boxy 1980s economy car, believe it or not, a toy car company called MotorMax released 1:24 and 1:60 scale models of the Dodge Aries and Plymouth Reliant a couple years ago. Here's a 1:60 scale 1982 Dodge Aries I have in my collection:![]() ![]() ![]() |

Ah, the Fresh Cherries lineup by MotorMax. I almost bought the Bobcat once. It was a copper colored '75 model. They had a few of those, including: -'75 Mercury Bobcat -'84 Ford Tempo -'77 Ford Pinto -'81 Ford Escort -'74 AMC Gremlin -'78 AMC Pacer But, of course, those were the 1:87th scale versions, which were more affordable. |

Not sure if this will help, since it's the US Ebay, but they have a bunch oh Fresh Cherries here, including some 80's Hondas. Link to "shop.ebay.com" It might help, if they have worldwide shipping, though. |

Yeah, of the one's I've seen, the '82 Accord (Blue) and the '75 Matador (yellow) seem to catch my eye the most. |

I wish they released the '84 Ford Tempo, '81 Escort, and '82 Honda Accord in larger scale models but it doesn't seem MotorMax will ever do so. ![]() |

Agreed. They really should have. Didn't they also have a Fiero in this die-cast series? -- Last edit: 2011-05-18 19:51:04 |

That's some SWEET merchandise he's got there! If I had the money, I'd pick up some of that! |

Stationary rear quarter windows means this one is no older than 1982. 1981s had pop out rear quarter windows (because the main rear door windows did not roll down) |
