1947-55 GMC New design light-duty truck, most probably based on a ¾-ton 150 or on a 1-ton 250 model. 1947-53 2-piece windshield, and 1951+ vent windows on the driver's door. But it doesn't seem to have the 1949+ fuel filler pipe (behind the cab), which could indicate a 1947-48 model with a replaced door. I-Denev thumb shows that there is no 1948+ column-shifted 3-speed transmission. But the 1947+ floor-shifted one was still available as option for all trucks (standard on 1-ton models and above), so it can't be really used as a clue... -- Last edit: 2015-08-17 01:59:21 |

I hate when older truck like this are destroyed. Film-makers seem to think these old machine grow on trees. |

This truck was in bad shape, and it's not a very rare design. Plus this was filmed in 96-7 I believe. It's not like we lost much. |

Curious... the truck has different wheels in opal's thumbs and a shinier bumper in the second. Possibly the one that gets rammed was a non-running beater. |
