They probably found it in the popemobile section on Craigslist or asked the Vatican staff for a used one, as they have plenty of worn out daily drivers from all those hordes of decommissioned popes sitting in their backlots and are always happy to get rid of a few.

Mystery Man ◊ 2024-08-15 16:10	This is for sure not the real 1980 'Papstwagen', a bunch of details is wrong. Both made for movie ones are based on civil version, which had the wider wheel arches 1982 onwards.
