This "Island blue" with "Snowberry white" roof Mini is a MkII. By what is possible to understand of its bootlid badge ( between the numberplate and the right rear light ) it's a 1000. Nice period detail is what seems to be a Radiomobile car radio. |

Yes it's clearly a MK2 Morris Mini as it has sliding windows and the exposed door hinges. Plus the blue 'M' Morris badge on the steering wheel boss. So as it has the oval speedometer pod with additional gauges, it's a pre October 1969 Morris Mini 1000. It's Island Blue in colour, but it's odd that it had a white roof. That must have been sprayed after production, because only the Mini Cooper models had duotone coloured roofs. But it's definitely not a Mini Cooper, because of the badges, plus the top dash rail doesn't have the vinyl covering. Very nice car though all the same. |
