FBI Agents Dwight Harris (Matt Servitto) and Ron Goddard (Michael Kelly) use this Crown Victoria in one scene in episode 6.14, when they pay a visit to Tony as he collects his paper from the end of his driveway. In episode 6.01, they use a 1998 Crown Victoria in a couple of scenes (same license plate but different model to the one featured in episode 6.14). ![]() ![]() ![]() Throughout the show, post-1998 Crown Victorias are featured in episodes as police and FBI cars. 1999-2000. Has a replacement honeycomb grill. |
◊ 2007-12-08 23:18 |
That's for the one in the main image, right? I expected that to be a newer model, since the car looks pretty new. |

Yes, it's for the one in the main page. Even though I'll explain this later on the forums at your request, if you look hard, there's the black trim on the bumpers that only the 1999-2000 models had. The honeycomb grill is a replacement. If you could provide me with a picture of the rear, I could give you the exact year on this one (the main image) ![]() |

The first thumbnail at the top of the page shows the rear (although it could be a different car with the same plate attached, it's from an earlier episode in the first half of series 6). |

It's a different car. The one in the thumbnail is a 1998. Notice that that one has chrome trim on the back bumper, while this one doesn't. |

In that case, I'm afraid I don't have a picture of the rear of the car in the main image, it only appears in one scene. |

That's alright G-MANN, thanks anyways ![]() |

Can you identify the years of the other cars shown in the thumbnails? I might be able to provide extra pictures for a few of them. That would be great ![]() |

1st thumbnail- 1998 (Possibly a police-package version) 2nd- 2003 LX [P74] 3rd- 1998-2002 LX [P74] or base model [P73] version 4th- 1998 (Possibly a police-package version) 5th- 1998-2002 (Can't see it very well to determine exact year[s]) 6th- 1999 (Possibly a police-package version) 7th- 1998-2002 8th-1998-2002 9th- 1999-2000 Police Interceptor [P71] (Notice spoltight hole on driver's side A-pillar. 10th- 1998-1999 (Possibly a police-package version) 11th- 1999-2000 (Possibly a police-package version) 12th- From left to right: 1999-2000, 1993-1994, 1998 (All are possibly police-package versions) 13th- 2001-2002 14th- 2000 (flat black horizontal grill) 15th- 1999-2002 (can't make out the gril very well) The black, unmarked Crown Vics are all probably the same one, that's my guess. -- Last edit: 2007-12-09 00:48:26 |

Um, the one in the second thumbnail couldn't possibly be a 2003 model because it's from an episode that was first shown in 1999. |
◊ 2007-12-09 01:02 |
You're right, sorry about that. it's a 1998-1999. Can't tell the trim. |
◊ 2007-12-09 01:23 |
I added a few more thumbnails to help identification. |
◊ 2007-12-09 01:26 |
Thanks. None of the additional shots really helped much, though. ![]() |

Not even the one next to the 3rd thumbnail down? |

I don't know how to tell apart an LX from a base model Vic for the 1998-2002 cars. It has something to do with the tires/rims. All i know is that the LX's have a badge on the back that say "CROWN VICTORIA LX" The cars from episodes 1.02 and 3.05 are both either LX's or base model Vics...in other words, both are civilian Crown Victorias. |
◊ 2007-12-09 01:35 |
But (sorry to ask this again) can you now get the exact year for the 3rd car listed (episode 3.05)? |
◊ 2007-12-09 01:37 |
I'm afraid not. There weren't really any year-to-year changes to the exterior of the 1998-2002 civilian Crown Victorias. The changes really only came (and still do, for that matter) with the fleet Crown Victoria (IE, the police-package and taxi-package version) |

Police Interceptor [P71]. |
