Red bit of badge = 1300. Can't read badge if Austin or Morris - the only real clue here is hubcap letters - heavy M in circle or faint A without. My hunch is A. |

![]() - hubcaps (this works for Mk1 and Mk2, but not Mk3 which was plain with no stamped lettering. However Mk3 saloons were almost always Austin only - UK and most other places never had Morris saloons, although the Morris Traveller lingered on until 6 months after Marina estate arrived) Austin plain A (ignore the apparent colour infill - might be a light effect in this pic or a bit of extra paint, but it's not original factory element) ![]() Morris - heavier M stamp in circle ![]() - badges - both Austin and Morris used red for Mk2 1300 with a single plaque as main. Their 1100 were all black, with additional script below for MkII, as this Morris shows ![]() Also to note from this pic - Austin and Morris Mk2 used same chrome feature above the numberplate, a thin smooth format similar to Austin Mk1, so the only difference is if you can actually read or guess the badge. (Morris Mk1 had a heavier format with fluting, and badge positions and styles were different so splitting Mk1s is much easier) |

The Austin went rusty from the inside outwards, except where it went rusty from the outside inwards. So did the Morris. |
