Trabant 1.1 (trabant 601 "facelift , VW Engine) |

Or older 601 just with 1.1. grille? Bumpers are of 601. Curiously in Germany is still at least one factory made 1.1 with such 601 bumpers (and even the same or very similar color). This German car is one of the pre-series 1.1s, but by what I read 1.1s, which finally went on market, always had big, ugly plastic bumpers. |

We need side view to see (or not) the fuel cap. However early 1.1 samples had these bumpers too. |

They did, but were these cars sold and exported? I read once they were just pre-serial vehicles. |

The mirror is wrong as well. Usually the pre-production cars were also in use, if sold to private persons, IDK. Here's the/a light blue one with 601 bumpers: Link to "amp.autobild.de" |

Appears to be indeed a 1.1, but with 601-parts and BMW (?) hubcaps: /vehicle_1207307-Wartburg-353-1973.html |

I think old bumpers could be owner's down-grade also. People don't like 1.1 'plastic bomber' bumpers. -- Last edit: 2020-08-29 22:13:55 |
