Easily my favorite Indiana Jones movie of all time! While I do like Raiders, this feels more like it's own movie rather than a tribute film and Sean Connery is just amazing as Indy's father, they could not have picked a better actor for the part. The action sequences are tense but fun and every scene just works. Every part that is meant to be funny lands and all the emotional scenes between Indy and his dad work as they're meant to. It is an interesting spin, having the "Bond girl" be aligned with the bad guys, even though she tries to prove otherwise. The tank battle scene is one of my favorite action setpieces of any film and all of the special effects in the film are great, minus few chromakey effects that could've used some polish. I highly recommend setting aside an evening to keep up with the Jonses! Easily Connery's best film outside of the Bond franchise! |

didn't hurt that it had a nice eye candy too but yeah I agree it's the best of the Indy trilogy , also nice way to end the 80s -- Last edit: 2023-07-10 17:49:39 |

All are good (I haven't seen DoD so I can't say anything about that as for now), but I'm more partial to Raiders, followed by Doom. This one and Crystal Skull are more child-like in tone compared to them, except for Donovan's death scene. |

probably why i like it that much , i'm an eternal kid at heart.. but if i have to class them i'd go Cruisade, Raiders, Doom and Crystal Skull ( did not saw the last one but i don't expect it to climb above Raiders in my ranking, probably not above Doom either.. ) |

My main issue with this film is that they made the Marcus Brody character into too much of a bumbling idiot, which fits the giddy tone of the film, but it felt like they butchered the original character from Raiders. |

There's a trailer for the movie that includes a behind the scenes clip involving a camera truck built on the chassis of a 1987 Jeep J-20. |
