Ah, looks like I am not the only one who is adding movies filmed in Cairo. |

@karoomay: Here's the trailer for Ruba Nadda's new film Inescapable, a thriller about an exiled Syrian secret policeman who returns to Damascus to find his missing daughter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qzdMCuFptc&feature=player_embedded The film was shot in South Africa, so no doubt there will be inappropriate cars and "cobbled" locations, as ingo would say. Apparently Nadda wanted to film it in Jordan, but producers there advised her to go elsewhere. "Because I have a Syrian passport too, they were worried that someone would abduct me and put me on trial in Syria for whatever reason they wanted." Link to "www.theglobeandmail.com" P.S. If the IMDB is to be believed it's already gone straight to DVD in Sweden: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1844203/releaseinfo -- Last edit: 2013-01-05 01:58:21 |

Interesting. I'm curious to see the final product of this movie, if I have a chance to get a hold of it. I would probably spend more than half of the time pointing out inaccuracies in this movie, mainly with cars and locations that do not match Damascus (I already saw quite a few errors in the trailer) , although some actual stock footage of Damascus was used. -- Last edit: 2013-01-05 04:30:55 |
