Last film from Franšois Truffaut, adapted from Charles Williams novel.
Truffaut explaned his desire to make a kind of B-movie "film noir" with this story, therefore the choice of black and white pictures, many scenes shot in rainy night, fakes defects, and way of leeding the story ... alla that makes a very smart film :)
