“These are champions who helped free a continent. These are heroes who helped end a war.”
-President Ronald Reagan, Former U.S. Army Captain, D-Day 40th Anniversary.

1975 made-for-TV historical drama looking at three soldiers and how they cope with returning home to civilian life after the end of World War II. For one of these men, this transition will not be easy as he lost both hands in combat and has a pair of hooks attached to each wrist. Starring Dabney Coleman, Tom Selleck, and James R. Miller. Of the three leads, Tom Selleck is the only one with prior service experience, having served in the California Army National Guard from 1967 to '73 and even reached the rank of Sergeant. This is a very gripping and emotional film that no doubt captures the relief, happiness, trials and tribulations that many veterans were greeted with upon returning home from fighting for their country and it's freedom.
