Of course the actors never leave the UK and stock footage of cars in foreign parts is used .
Which leads to some really bad matched up fake vehicles in UK.

They look like Lotus, maybe 1958-59 16s, with the distinctive alloy pattern (usually painted yellow. Despite resemblance, I don't think Vanwall, although not a coincidence as Colin Chapman worked there in 57 on the F1 design team.
