It is pretty, looks very similar to the N&W J Class engine that I used to watch as a kid.

I lvoe that train! It is from the Pennylvania Railroad, and I don't think it is a J Class (but very close) or it might be the picture. Whatever it is, it is very similar to this. It may be a Pennsy streamlined Hudson.

Just remembered! The steam engine is a Pennsylvania Railroad-exclusive, Raymond Loewy-designed streamlined (and torpedo inspired) K4 steam engine. they were intorduced in 1936, and were popular (not as much as the infamous GG1 electrics, 4-4-4-4 Duples engines or the later F7A and C-Liner diesels) but their hard to work with style caused their demise (that, and electric and diesel engines, and rival trains like NYC's Hudsons and Milwaukee Road's Hiawathas).
