Original Irish assembled Wolseley Hornet, BZO809, used extensively as a background vehicle in scenes filmed on Synge Street opposite the school and outside the heroine's flat. |

BZO 809 was June 68 Dublin issue, comes up as Hornet 998cc. So Mk3. Interesting about Irish assembly - I can believe it, but the only Elf/Hornet assembly I know of apart from Longbridge was in New Zealand. |

Yes it would be a Mk III. Booth Poole in Dublin assembled Wolseley, Riley and MG cars for the Irish market up to the early 1970s. The list price of the Hornet in 1968 was £799 including duo tone paint and leather interior (which this car retains though in poor condition). |

I seem to remember a lot of Rover P6s in this movie, also the family's W123 wagon had a different license number in one scene (in the 12-A-3456 rather than XYZ 123 format). |
