In Finland this movie is called "Le Mans 66 - Täydellä teholla". "Le Mans 66 - With full power" as a translation. |

There is supposedly a `60 or `61 Valiant in this film as well. Hoping to check it out in the theatre soon. |
◊ 2019-12-03 22:02 |
There is a `61/`62 Dodge Lancer in front of the `65 Valiant in one of the above photos. |

◊ 2019-12-30 14:24 |

Sorry, it was me. Forgot to add a comment. I remember seeing a Multipla behind the garage of Ken Miles. But maybe it was not visible enough. |

The green front here?? ... which seems to be Innocenti colour and side indicator. So the garage probably filmed in Italy. So if this is the bit with the elusive Multipla, it might make sense ... |
◊ 2019-12-31 12:40 |
They filmed in France but not in Italy. The Ferrari factory scenes were filmed in the US -- note the Divco van. |
◊ 2019-12-31 13:06 |
@Raul1983 meant this classic 600 Multipla which appears for a split second at 6:26 and a little bit later (albeit it's in a blurry distance): |

The Mini belongs to Michael Harper-Smith in Los Angeles. The Multipla might be his too. http://www.eurofilmcars.com/html/sedans.html |

the Peugeot 403 seems that one |

Update the 1800S Volvo is definitely a 1967 based on the chassi number. It's now recorded as 1967 on the Volvo 1800 Global Regi ster too. Link to "volvo1800pictures.com" -- Last edit: 2020-01-27 04:10:34 |

Comment would probably be better on the Volvo page. I changed the year. |

A better view of the Red 1967 1800S Volvo. The complete car is in view |

There’s a scene when Shelby and Miles are sitting in a Diner discussing the Ford deal.... off of Shelbys shoulder, out in the parking lot, is an old pick up. Does anyone know what kind of truck that is? |

The car Ken is working on when Shelby walks up is a 1954 Packard Cavalier. While the green one behind Shelby is either a 1955 or 1956 Ford Thunderbird. |

"...director James Mangold shot actual driving footage... Of course some computer graphics were used, such as adding the French countryside surrounding Le Mans to driving scenes, which were actually shot in the desert near Agua Dulce in SoCal. But by and large, the cars were real runners that hit triple digits at times... Fran Hall of Race Car Replicas, who managed to crank out 28 cars within a 16-week time frame... Fran’s RCR-built vehicles “… included all the stunt GT40s, from the original early prototypes to the modified Miles crash car,” he says... RCR also provided the running replicas of the Ferrari GTB, P3 and P4 models, which are very similar in appearance... “The cars use an alloy monocoque chassis with CNC-machined suspension.” FIA-legal race fuel cells were also installed for safety reasons... As for still and background shots, the Ferrari 250 static displays in the Italian workshop were also provided by RCR, along with the vintage F1 cars... midmounted engines, which were 450 hp GM LS3s backed by a Porsche G96 transaxle from the 996-series 911 model, using an RCR adapter. However, one of the GT40 replicas had a Ford power plant installed for scenes where Miles was wrenching in the engine bay.... https://www.rcnmag.com/garage/movie-magic ..and "...The stuff we were doing on the Mulsanne Straight that we duplicated (shot around Savannah, GA) was the most nerve wracking..." https://poweredbyracing.com/ford-v-ferrari/ -- Last edit: 2024-05-16 01:58:52 |

Something funny is going on as the Blu-ray version has shots not found on the 4k version, seems it's a slightly different edit. I noticed this as some of the earlier captures that people did here don't exist in the 4k edit. |

There was a Ford Thunderbird in the scene in wich Ken tests the GT40 MK2 Prototype when he asks the driver to take it -- Last edit: 2024-10-09 03:31:19 |
