Getting the North East of England out of heavy industry into offices and services , a process still ongoing.

Fascinating vehicle line up on Tyne Bridge.

Not much , the Trade Unions were a great help in getting rid of ship building .
They seemed to think that delivering customers ships YEARS late and badly built was a good idea , then the customers found they could get quality ships built on time and cheaper in the far east. Shipbuilders all lost their jobs , well done Unions.
