thanks! It's on one of our "speedways" to Scotland, but we never took a notice of it. Because it's not in Scotland...btw.: tomorrow I'll take my flight to Glasgow. My wife already stays in the cottage. After a terrible ferry passage, she's fit again. |

Don't expect stunning weather, but you might get some nice sunny moments between the rainy bits. |

Absolutely stunning part of England which is thankfully always empty and quiet as tourists hurtle through to Scotland ![]() |

We've already noticed that, but never could arrange a stopover anyhow. This time neither, as I went there by plane and rental car and my wife, who travels by her own car and the ferry, has no time on the way back. And no interest, as the hope, not to have again a terrible storm on the trip back as last Thursday, is her main topic. Maybe next year, when we will be back again, mainly for: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-41398307 Back to our topic: today, on the way back to Glasgow Airport, I spotted the only three origin British vehicles on the total 350 miles in four days, all on the A82 along the Loch Lomond: a Dennis garbage truck, a Bedford fire truck and a late LDV-Van. And the garagist in Craignure has placed the rotten carcasse of a yellow Triumph Spitfire on top of a container. |
