The winged radiator cap is typical late 1920s Chrysler. I think from the shape of the radiator top and from the look of the cap it is 1927 or 1928. The 1924-26 caps had no feathers on the inner side of the wings and the later ones did. The car is no later than 1928. -- Last edit: 2014-08-22 10:49:40 |

As a Bentley owner I can tell you that radiator caps were stolen, what you did was to remove it to the glovebox if you left the car, and substitute the lid from a boot polish tin. Those who could afford it like Royce owners, left the chauffeur in charge of the car, some bought plain caps for parking, and put the special one on for driving. -- Last edit: 2014-08-23 09:02:07 |
