I added few pictures from the trailer, I guess that Starwarsfanatic will anyway get this "movie" soon and put better pictures :)

Yes, destroying that Alpine is a shame  The Rover 200 on the other hand is probably not a big loss :D

There's one on Pistonheads for £3500. This one is an L-reg. One of the last, I'd say. I'm sure there were fewer than 50 RHDs made.

Yes indeed :D

We've had the discussion about his car destruction before, although I am wondering why he destroyed the Alpine after previously stating his liking of it.

That one for £3500 is an early GTA. There is an A610 for sale on the same site for £7995. It states there was only 67 RHD produced.

I'm hoping to have all the pictures for this emailed across at some point this evening, unless someone else gets to it beforehand.

Thought swf would have listed this by now? (i've had it a couple of weeks, but know he likes to do the clarkson stuff) I'll hold back (still got plenty ...100's of others to do.!)

Sorry, but I don't get them until Christmas :(

twingoman posted the pictures but no admin had time yet to upload them. I'll do that now though that I wanted to boycott this thing due to the massacre of the Alpine

Yep, Clarkson being stupid again. Destroying a perfectly good car (telling us it's slow with 0-60 in 5 1/2 secs.!!)

For those who have seen it, how does it compare to his previous works? Unfortunately I am getting it for Christmas, which is an annual tradition, and am refraining from viewing it in advance :p

Personally I think Clarkson's DVDs are overpriced (they cost up to £20 new) considering they aren't much better than an episode of Top Gear, I wouldn't buy one myself. I've only seen bits of his recent stuff, but it isn't really much more what he does on Top Gear now (since the new format was launched), except there's no Hammond or May to counterbalance him. Clarkon's videos were more of a novelty when he started doing them, because in those days he didn't wreck things or have races or have challenges on Top Gear (it's old format was more magazine-like and a bit staid compared to the all mucking around they get to do now).

for me it was a little dry (going over old ground) and nothing much new for clarkson to test (All seen before on 'top gear' and his other yearly dvd's). I suppose he had to liven it up by destroying a good car.(It got people like us making lots of comments about it.!)

I don't see any American vehicles at all. Perhaps they were worried that the "bargain" Corvette might upstage those costing hundreds of thousands of dollars more

Wasn't it said that Clarkson does not like US cars? (in comments of pages of some of his previous videos)

That may be because his previous DVD featured mostly American cars.

You'd really have to do a race to know that for sure. Personally, my money would be on the European supercars, an incredible amount of engineering and design wizardry goes into those things, that's part of the reason they cost so much.

In this DVD, Clarkson destroys:

The Rover 214 - blown up after deliberately being the victim of over-tuning
The G-wiz - comically loses a battle against a table
The Renault A610 - smashed against a wall at high speed with devestating results, as well as apparently generating the most controversy to date.

Sorry, but I forgot to fulfill the tradition :p Overall I felt that it was a passable annual DVD, but was lacking a bit in the humour department. I also can't help but wonder how much steam is left for these releases, as there can only be so much variance in Clarkson thrashing high performance cars around a track. Having said that, the destruction segments were far better than last years efforts, particularly with the Alpine which is my favourite Clarkson destruction act to date, regardless of other members feelings about this particular scene.

This brings back memories! I watched the DVD at my grandmother's house, and I actually forgot it existed until now! This brings a tear to my eye.
