Yes. Export targets were always high - initially the intended figure was 70% of production and there are claims that over 100 different countries in Europe and beyond received cars. First Mexican sales were through BMW dealers (as BMW still owned Rover at that point) and seem to have been about 70 per month until BMW sold Rover in 2000 and the link broke. But resumed in 2002 with new importer until Rover collapsed in 2005. Included 75 and MG-ZT as both saloon and estate, alongside MG TF. Never sold in US, but it says in my Bumper Book Of The Rover 75 that the Mexican cars had US-style VIN numbers - we can all just hope that the Mustang-idiot was never let loose on them ...... Chromed side mirrors appears to be the range-topping Connoisseur trim. |

Not 1999 for sure, no C-pillar badge, no torpedo engine designation badges and it looks like the later mirrors so one of the 2002 on ones from the second importer probably. |
