This car, playing a taxi in Paris in 1927, appears in three scenes. The first is the movie's opening scene (the main image) in which the main character (Isabelle Adjani) alights from it. The second is at cca 01:26:00 when it delivers the same character and her husband (= one half of the titular quartet) to a restaurant and spend about a minute talking inside it about whether or not to meet with the other half of the titular quartet:![]() ![]() ![]() The third scene is the movie's finale ten minutes later in which it gives the ride to the main character's husband and another minor character: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So, obviously not a 1-star vehicle. If it were up to me, I'd give it three stars, but it's not, so... -- Last edit: 2023-06-22 08:51:43 (night cub) |

The double inscription on the radiator grille reminds me of "De Dion-Bouton" or "Panhard & Levassor". |

"De Dion-Bouton" actually is what Google Lens suggested when I threw the image at it. Alas, in the movie the radiator is never in focus. Here it is in full size and a bit brightened:![]() |
