here a quick crash course for you the M54 5 tonnes and the M 35 2.5 tonnes side by side , granted it can be hard to distinguish them but usually the fender size gives it away and the front hood on the M35 it sticks out more and of course the wheel size , the M54 // M809 have so much bigger wheels compared to the M 35 -- Last edit: 2016-10-19 23:16:33 |

Well what can I say, I'm not an expert in identifying vehicles, especially military vehicles. Most road vehicles, like Chevrolet and Ford I can usually identify at a glance. As far as construction vehicles, usually I can only identify them if the model number is clearly visible on the machine. |

I find military vehicles so much easier to ID simply because there are a LOT less models of them -- Last edit: 2016-10-20 00:07:10 |

There can't be any AM General truck before march 1971 (I used to link to AM General's corporate site for this date, but they lately simplified the history part, deleting the official creation date and mixing the names and dates in an incomprehensible way... Wikipedia says 1971 too, with a book as external reference) -- Last edit: 2016-11-04 04:35:41 |
