I thought it was a Volvo. |

was my first thought, too. the shape of door windows very much like F88 with panoramic rear window irritating |

The wrap-around side/rear windows and the shape of the window in the door is similar to some Volvo medium duty trucks from the late 1960s. |

It looks more like an F86 to me. The F88 didn't have those round wheel openings. It was much taller and needed a flat surface which the driver could step on. Edit: I found a picture of an F84 which had similar blinkers to this one, I'm not sure if that is because of the production year or the model. Link to "www.picautos.com" Edit2: I just noticed that in the pictures I have found of F84 and F85 models with horizontal blinkers, the blinkers have been mounted lower than the door handle. I have found a couple of pictures of L4751 Raske TipTop which have vertical blinkers on the same height as the door handles: http://s692.photobucket.com/user/84783/media/010-30.jpg.html -- Last edit: 2016-06-23 20:18:13 |

Hi perdaniel, think you are right about Raske TipTop cab! It should be a F86 by the fact it is heaviest of the models with Raske TipTop evident by wheel diametre is filling wheel openings almost completely in fact F86 has different chassis than F84/85 while blinkers can depend on MY as you have explained. Edit: think it shares doors with F88 in a modular principle https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_F85#/media/File:Volvo_F86.jpg still can't find one with horizontal blinkers. -- Last edit: 2016-06-23 22:35:52 |

I can't understand how you can claim that this is an F86. The wheels do look a bit larger than any of the ones on the F85/F84/L4751s I've seen pictures of, but it is easy to change the wheels or even just the tyres. Relocating the blinkers is more difficult. |

I have a new candidate: Volvo L4851 Viking TipTop. It has the same blinkers as the one in the movie. It is the predecessor to the F86. edit: I think this has the same size wheels as the F86. -- Last edit: 2016-07-03 21:14:13 |
